Module Three – Decide To Get Better

“You have to deal with the fact that your life is your life.”

– Alex Hailey, Canadian Novelist

Can I Really Survive This?

At times early in the divorce recovery journey, you wonder if you’ll really survive this. You worry that your life will never be very good again. Some nights the loneliness is overwhelming. This trip takes longer than you think it should. It’s harder than your friends and family realize, but you are learning some of the most valuable lessons you will ever learn. A few of the important things you will learn:

[li type=”icon-caret-right”]How to value yourself and your opinions[/li]
[li type=”icon-caret-right”]How to be confident in exactly who you are[/li]
[li type=”icon-caret-right”]How to boldly plan and take action for the life you want now[/li]
[li type=”icon-caret-right”]How to give up trying to solve all the problems in the universe[/li]
[li type=”icon-caret-right”]How to take responsibility for your own happiness and fulfillment[/li]
[li type=”icon-caret-right”]How to let go of people, thoughts and ideas that hold you back.[/li]
[/list]

We really only have one job for you in this Module and that is for you to make the decision to move forward. THIS IS YOUR NEXT STEP

As you’ve probably noticed, this program is a working program. It’s not just a program to go through when you want or moan and groan about how bad things are without making any effort to do the work to move forward. This is hard, change is a choice. Transformation is not a trip to the amusement park. Your new life is going to be wonderful, but it means you have to decide to have a good life and then take action to get that good life.

STEP ONE – Read the following statement several times (aloud if possible):

“I accept the truth
that I am responsible
for my own happiness.”

Grief and Divorce

Discussing the 4 tasks of grieving.

Task 1 – Believing It’s Real

Task 2 – Experience the Pain

This video is a little longer, but this task is a little more challenging and probably the most pressing issue right now.
